Blanche was part of the first group of donkeys rescued from the slaughter pipeline. Used as roping dummies, their past left her wary of people, and Blanche made it clear she has opinions of her own. While she may not seek out human affection, she’ll gladly accept treats and has a deep bond with another donkey at the rescue. Now a permanent resident, she finally has the security she was once denied. Some rescues need time, some need space, and Blanche has found a place where she can have both. Blanche is a prime example and reminder that every animal is different, they all react different to the trauma they endured in their past.
